I am a contemporary painter, based in Essex, England. My work delves into the vibrant and diverse colour palettes found in the natural world, capturing the essence of organic forms while abstracting their shapes. Through this approach, I aim to create a connection between the familiar and the abstract, where recognisable colours and contours invite viewers to see nature from a fresh perspective.

I focus on fruits, vegetables and flowers as my subjects, but rather than depicting them in their entirety, I break them down into their core visual elements. The shapes are simplified and reimagined, while the colours remain true to their natural origins—rich reds, deep greens and bright yellows. These familiar hues evoke the presence of the natural world, while the abstract forms challenge traditional perceptions, inviting viewers to engage in a more imaginative and personal interaction with the work.

By emphasising colour and form over detailed representation, my paintings seek to evoke the sensory experience of nature—the taste, smell, and texture of the organic world—without confining it to literal interpretation. The fragmented shapes and vibrant colours offer just enough to spark recognition, while leaving space for the viewer to explore their own associations and memories.
